Workshop facilitation

Through my training as a youth supervisor, I have learned to solve conflicts and find solutions in a strategic and playful way. I apply these skills now to facilitate design thinking workshops and help teams reach their goals – either online, hybrid, or offline.

In the past, I was a facilitator of a think tank, where the aim was to develop innovative medical technologies within 8 workshop sessions of 3 hours each. Over the duration of the think tank, the scientists were guided through a design process to move from problem identification to multiple solution concepts in different thematic groups. Various workshop activities were conducted to gradually develop a realistic vision of future medical treatments.

Value proposition
workshops

With value proposition workshops, I helped scrum teams to clearly articulate and align on the purpose of services or products. The goal was to bring different stakeholders on board to identify the unique value of service offerings and thus define the "why?" in order to then conceptualise the detailed functioning.

Focus groups, interviews & testings

My experience in qualitative research ranges from research design to planning and execution as well as data analysis. I have moderated several user/customer interviews, expert interviews and focus groups in 4 different languages, as well as guided testings and walkthroughs with wireframes and prototypes, online as well as on-site. Through my involvement with anthropologists, I myself have developed a skillset to be able to discuss sensitive issues in a respectful manner.

Part of my work at denkwerk was the launch and moderation of a public monthly article club called ODD (short for Open Design Discussions), which provided a framework for discussing design, business and technology issues with enthusiastic and committed people from a variety of disciplines. During one hour, 10-15 people gathered online to share their expertise and viewpoints, creating engaging discussions with learning outcomes and networking opportunities.

Part of my experience lies in facilitating team building workshops. The main goal is to enable an exchange between team members, as well as to provide a fun balance to the normal everyday work life. In addition, I worked on creating a safe space by developing a code of conduct in several sessions to increase inclusivity and sensitivity between team members.

Team building workshops

As design thinking is part of my daily occupation, I facilitated multiple ideation workshops to guide participants through mini design sprints from understanding a problem, to ideating wildly on crazy solutions, up to elaborating and conceptualising future products and services. By using Miro for online sessions or pen and paper for on-site workshops, I’ve made myself familiar with all sorts of ideation methods to drive problem-solving forward.
